PSE Stock Trading Game Guidelines and Rules

VIRTUAL TRADING GUIDELINES

Registration:
All those who wish to make use of the Stock Trading Game facility are required to register.

Trading Hours
Trading shall be conducted according to PSE trading hours:
Pre-open Period - 9:00 am to 9:30 am
Open Period - 9:30 am to 12:00 pm
Run-off Period - 12:00 pm to 12:10 pm
Market Close - 12:10 pm

Order Posting
Limit and market orders shall be accepted.
Short selling is not allowed. STG users can not post a sell order for shares of stocks which are not in their portfolio.
All orders shall be considered "good for the day" only.
All unmatched orders during trading hours shall be cancelled by the system after market close.
Order volume must conform to the defined PSE board lot.
Any order posted by the participant after trading hours shall be held in queue until the next trading day.

Order Matching
An order shall be processed for matching only if an actual Exchange trade was executed for that stock. All orders with possible match shall be temporarily held in queue until an actual exchange trade occurs.
Number of shares posted for the order shall be completely matched regardless of the actual trade in the Exchange boards.

Limit order: All limit orders shall be executed at the last sale price only if the last sale price is equal or better than the quoted price. (For buying order, a better last sale price is a price lower than the quoted price; for selling order, a better last sale price is a price higher than the quoted price.)
Market Order: All buy orders will be executed at the best asked price (lowest selling price), while selling orders will be executed at the best bid price (highest buying price).

Add-on Charges
Appropriate virtual charges shall be applied as:
Broker's Commission - 0.5% of the total transaction value plus 10% VAT.
Clearing and Settlement Fee - Ad valorem rate of 0.0001.
Stock Transaction Tax - 0.5% of the value of selling transaction.

Portfolio Computation
After each transaction, portfolio shall be computed where stock holdings shall be priced at the current trading price plus the cash balance

Privacy Policy
All registration entries become property of the PSE and shall be held in confidence. The information shall be used for prize verification and security purposes. It shall neither be sold nor transferred to another entity or corporation and shall only be used for the purpose of the STG promotion.

PSE-TP 2006


This tournament is an individual competition open to all PSE Trading Participants.

Tournament Period:
The Tournament shall commence on 03 November 2005 and shall end at the close of trading hours on 31 January 2006.

Eligibility:
Trading Participants (TP) – Certified employee or licensed trader of the PSE TP witha maximum of 3 participants per TP.

Registration:
All eligible participants must register from October 1-31, 2005 by filling up the OnlinePlayer Registration Form provided on the PSE Website.To enter the tournament, select the tournament PSE-TP 2006 from the list of tournaments and click the JOIN button on the STG Login page.

Beginning Portfolio:
Each registered participant shall be given a virtual credit of ONE MILLION PESOS (PhP 1,000,000.00) as their initial online play money.

Portfolio Value Computation:
Total outstanding shares multiplied by the current price plus the cash balance.

Maximum Holdings:
A registered participant can hold at anytime no more than fifteen (15) securitiesfrom the fifty (50) pre-selected stocks only. Likewise, only a maximum of fifteen (15%) per cent of the player's portfolio value may be invested in a single stock.

Maximum No. of Transactions:
A registered player is only allowed twenty (20) transactions per day.

Scoring and Ranking:
Ranking shall be based on the player's virtual portfolio value. Points will be awarded such that the player with the highest portfolio value will be given 100 points and succeeding players will be given prorated points against the highest portfolio value. A player who was able to increase his/her portfolio value by at least five (5%) per cent within the three (3) period defined below shall be given a bonus of 1 point at the close of trading day of each month covered by the competition. Period coverage: 1)03 to 30 November; 2)01 to 31 December; and 3)01 to 31 January. A list of players with the 20 highest scores will be available for viewing. Scores are computed and updated on a real time basis.

Determination of Winners:
The player with the highest computed tournament points shall be declared the winner provided: a) He/She must have an ending portfolio value greater than or equal to the starting cash portfolio.
b) He/She must have executed at least 15 transactions.
c) The player presents a certification stating that they are employees of the Trading Participant that they represent.Otherwise, no winner will be declared for the tournament.

Awarding of Prizes:
The winners will be posted on the PSE Website. Participants stand to win cash and various special prizes. All winners will also be notified by phone and/or e-mail based on the information declared during the on-line registration.

Privacy Policy:
All registration entries become property of the PSE and shall be held in confidence. The information shall be used for prize verification and security purposes. It shall neither be sold nor transferred to another entity or corporation and shall only be used for the purpose of the STG promotion.
